WEEK ONE

As the first week slowly started, you found yourself hanging onto your little group. Lilly and you tried to spend as much time with the guys as possible, since they were the only ones you felt comfortable joining, except Michelle and Bella, of course. Every morning you woke up with a smile as you walked down the stairs to join everyone at breakfast. Whenever there was any free time from the usual activities, you were chilling in the sports hall just across from your house. There, Lilly and you would chill on the couch while the guys either played soccer or played around on their laptop.
One particular time, you found yourself commenting something that they'd said, as usual. Usually, they would acknowledge what you said, and maybe say something back, but there never was much of a conversation. Except this time.

Kiku was talking about some online text-based game, and it reminded you of the game you and Lilly sometimes played together on your phone. (A/N: The game I'm talking about here is called Alter Ego, you can also play it on a PC you should check it out) As you and Kiku slowly started talking, the topic changed from games to hobbies, from hobbies to family. You enjoyed talking to him. And, as you guys continued to talk, you noticed the time. It was already time for dinner and, with your talking, you both almost missed it. So naturally, you jumped up, muttering a few curses while you almost ran back to the house. When you got to your table, Lilly was just grinning at you. “She did that on purpose!” you thought, angrily stuffing food into your mouth. “She didn't tell me anything!” You noticed even Kiku staring at you. “What?” you asked innocently. You could've sworn that you were blushing, but you tried to play it off cool. There was no way he would be able to tell what was going on. After all, you weren't exactly giving off any signs. “Nothing.” Soon you would notice that nothing always meant something.

As the middle of the week came on, Kiku and you decided to watch some movies together. Maybe it was because he, too, realized that he liked hanging out with you. Or maybe it was because you said you would do that. Either way, it was now pretty common to find him upstairs in your apartment, sitting on the couch with you, his laptop on the table in front of you. Though Michelle and Bella would often walk past and tease you about why you weren't sitting closer to him or simply making heart shapes with their hands, you both just waved it off. After all, it meant nothing, right?
Though as the week progressed, Bella and you were out taking a walk instead of running with everyone else. It was rather cold, but that was only natural at 8 in the morning. As you were walking alongside her, you couldn't hold back anymore. She kept mentioning Kiku and so, without even thinking about it, you told her. “Alright, so maybe.. I kinda like Kiku. But so what? He doesn't like me back so why should I bother?” Bad move. You'd never seen Bella this happy before, she was jumping up and down next to you, grinning. “I knew it!” she shouted and you hushed her. “Don't tell anyone, okay?” Of course she would tell someone else.

And just as the first week was about to end, the teasing got worse. So bad, that Bella told someone else about your crush. And he definitely was one of the last people you wanted to tell. Gilbert. As if he wasn't annoying enough, though you'd admit that he always made everything more fun, he now knew about your crush on Kiku. And joined in on the teasing. Of course she'd also told Michelle. But now you couldn't even eat your food in peace anymore. And he still didn't even ask about it. You were kinda glad he didn't.

Sometime during this week, Bella came up to you as you were walking up the stairs. “Should I ask him if he likes you too?” was all she asked. Your eyes grew wide in horror as you shook your head, clearly saying “No, don't you dare! Don't do this to me!” She didn't listen to you, of course. And as you followed her upstairs, you heard his answer. You tried not to listen, but how couldn't you? But instead of making it obvious that you were listening, you continued your way to your apartment and went straight to your room, sitting down on your bed. A few minutes later, as you were trying not to cry, Bella burst in as usual. “So, he likes you, but not like that! But don't worry! It was just like that with Roderich and Elizabeta and now look at them!” Yes, Bella had even managed to get them to go out. You trusted her. But you weren't sure if it was enough. “Just sit really close to him and stuff like that, don't worry!” And with that, she left your room again.

And so the first week ended.
Okay, I really like working on this story, mainly because it's the story of how I met my boyfriend, okay?
Anyways, hope you enjoyed this 2nd part!
